The Grand Canyon Chiang Mai Thailand | Inflatable Water Park

Hey Guys! Another Chiang Mai Thailand blog post for you today! This happened very quick! We visited the Grand Canyon Chiang Mai Thailand on the same day we visited all the Temples located inside the Chiang Mai Thailand Old Gates or City Wall but the City Temples will be on another separate blog post so please, stay tuned!

It’s around 30-45 minutes drive from our HOTEL to The Grand Canyon. There were no Traffic that morning and was an easy drive. We used and rented the same taxi driver when we were there CLICK ME to check the number of the Taxi Driver we rented if you wanna contact him too! He speak good english and know the road well!

So went there early morning and there was not much people. We paid only 100baht to enter because we were not there to use the inflatable or water park. I think you may have to pay 500+baht to stay there all day and use all the water park facilities, inflatable, kayak, Stand up paddle, zipline, locker and more. As per the review of the food, I’ve read that the restaurant there is good and affordable if you need some food to eat all through your day of stay there.

That morning of our visit there, we just went for a quick walk to see what the place looks like. I was amazed upon entering and see the beautiful color of the water. We spent around 30 minutes to walk around but didn’t explore the inflatable water park side although, we managed to see some people doing some kayak or stand up paddle and zip line which looks really awesome btw!

Short story about this place, The Hang Dong canyon used to be an abandoned field and was accidentally created by Mr. Chatkarin Trakulinsan (Chat-ka-rin Tra-khun-inn-sun), the land owner. Between 2004 – 2005, Mr Trakulinsan sold the soil and created a 50-meter deep hole, around 48,000 square meters, and the massive canyon. 10 years later, the hole was filled with water becoming a gigantic pond surrounded by the canyon.
