The Biggest PH Clothing Companies

The fashion world is not exactly unknown territory for many Filipinos. In fact, many prominent fashion designers in the international scene such as Monique Lhuillier and Michael Cinco are born and bred Filipinos. Thus, it’s not so unbelievable that the country’s clothing industry is thriving. In fact, it is one of the country’s major dollar earner.  Now, who are the giants in this industrybench philippines

Bench

Among the most amazing success stories in the country’s fashion retail industry, Bench started out as a children’s clothing shop that, before long, transformed into a men’s clothing store at Park Square, Ayala Centre in 1987. With some trendy designs, a savvy marketing campaign, and famous celebrity image models; the brand soared to unimaginable heights and continues to create waves in the country’s clothing industry to this day. Now, the company designs, manufactures, and sells clothing for children, men, and women as well as colognes, footwear, and food stuff. The current CEO of the company is Ben Chan, from which the company got its brand name.

Aldegeur and Co., Inc

A company belonging to the much larger Aldegeure Group of Companies is a business giant that can be found in Cebu City. Among the popular brands under this corporation are Island Souvenirs and Loalde. Island Souvenirs specialises in casual apparel such as T-shirts, shorts, and accessories that exhibit the tropical beauty of the archipelago–the sights and other attractions that make the country so appealing to tourists. Loalde, on the other hand, is a brand that offers classy and trendy apparel for both men and women. The clothes under this brand are specially designed for active career men and women.

Golden ABC Inc.

Considered one of the pioneering companies in the country’s clothing industry, the organisation has several popular brands under its belt–ForMe, Memo, Oxygen, Penshoppe, Regatta, and Tyler.  The most popular among these brands are Penshoppe–the flagship brand that was launched the same year the company was founded, and Oxygen–a men’s line that was launched ten years later. The company was founded in 1986, probably in an  office space for rent Cebu. From there, it went on to become one of the country’s leading names in the fashion retail industry. Now, it has several stores both in Manila and Cebu.

Enfant Philippines

Specialising in infant clothing, Enfant started with one store at SM Megamall in 1995. Today, the company has several shops all over the Philippines as well as in other Southeast Asian countries. Aside from babies’ clothing, the brand now also has other products such as feeding bottles, toiletries, furniture, and other baby products. The brand now has 19 boutiques, particularly in Baguio, Pampanga, Batangas, and Metro Manila. Their products are also available in over a hundred stores and malls all over the country.

The clothing industry in the Philippines is relatively new compared to other international clothing lines around the globe. Despite this fact, however, it is still one of the fastest growing industries in the country, and one that is likely to stay and thrive for decades to come.
