I went to Shapotou Yinchuan Ningxia China together with other Dubai Travel bloggers last September 2017.
Shapotou is located in Yinchuan Ningxia China in Zhongwei County. lies on the north bank of the yellow river where it crosses the southeastern border of the tengger desert. It is regarded as one of the five most beautiful deserts in China and is widely recognized as the capital of sand.
Shapotou is one of the 5A national tourist attraction in Ningxia. Tourism Experts have named it as one of the “Monopoly Tourism Resources in the World” For achievements, it received the honorable title of Global 500 Roll of Environmental Protection Unit. It has awarded “National Fitness Famous Landscape” and “Top Ten Most Interesting Places in China” in 2004.
My experience in Shapotou Ningxia China was really cool! This is the place you should never miss when visiting Yinchuan Ningxia China. All the adventures are here! We did Ziplining, Sand sliding, Paragliding, Cable Chair, You can walk up and down the sand mountain dunes, the motorboat in Yellow River! Here, you can see the majestic view of the green valley, High Sand Mountain, adventure and the Famous Yellow River.

When coming here, you have to go early to get the tickets early and no long line at all as people come here mostly are in big groups of tour buses. Admission Fee: CNY 100 (April 1 to October 31) CNY 45 (November 1 to March 31) Just wanna say that it is all worth it coming to this place. Any selfie sticks are not allowed in paragliding or zip lining. If you want to take videos you can mount your GoPro to your arms. Bring a backpack when coming to shapotou for activities so you can just bring all your belongings anywhere and during the activities and no need to leave it somewhere else.
