HELLO WINTER!

Well, it’s official. After a somewhat disappointing summer weather wise, winter
is most definitely upon us. Some of us are still clinging to the hope of an Indian
summer, shivering under our summer duvets and refusing to touch the thermostat.
But it’s happening – the nights are drawing in and the weather is getting colder.

HELLOWINTERTAUYANM

Look on the Bright Side

it’s not all doom and gloom. Think about the good stuff that this season brings about,
fluffy slippers, hot chocolate, mulled wine, Christmas. Every cloud, right?

During these months, being comfy and cosy becomes every girl’s priority. But
what if you could look the part as well, so that the takeaway boy doesn’t run away
screaming back to his moped when you open the door in your ex’s holey T-shirt?

Winter PJs for Chilly Nights

We couldn’t mention winter pyjamas without mentioning the Onesie. Love it or hate
it, who knew that dressing like an overgrown toddler would ever be a good idea?
Sure, they’re a bit of a faff when you need the loo but are perfect for chilling on the
sofa and far more convenient than getting tangled up in a Slinky blanket. Definitely
opt for the footless style, which avoids those unsavoury grubby soles. Hark back to
your childhood with a SpongeBob Squarepants pattern or channel your inner bunny
(ears included) which could double up as a Halloween outfit if you’re struggling for
ideas. You’ll be laughing at the girls shivering in their Ann Summers nylon affairs in
your cosy bunny suit.

But it’s not just about the Onesie. Other popular styles include a three-piece set with
wrap around fleece jacket, a lot less bulky than a dressing gown so easier to make a
cup of tea without dipping your sleeves in. Keep it simple in cute shorts and T-shirts
or sex it up in satin – it all depends on your mood du jour.

Perfect Christmas Presents

It’s a well-known fact that if you don’t know what to get someone for Christmas, you
should get them a pair of pyjamas. And with all the styles that are out there now, the
only difficult part is picking the right pair! And they’ll go to good use unlike some
novelty gift that will sit in the back of a drawer gathering dust for six months until it’s
packed off in a charity bag. Many options are twenty pounds or less so you won’t
even blow your Secret Santa budget.

  11. I doubt we could use those cute ‘pyjamas’ here in the Philippines. It’s a tropical country. I mean, it’s rarely chilly or even cold here — unless I relocate to the mountains, like live in Baguio for example. 🙂
