What could be more exciting to try in Dubai during this winter season is to have a dinner on a Dhow Cruise Buffet Style! Enjoy the good scenery while moving around the Marina and just enjoy the people with you.

To be honest, I am not involved with any preparations for this lovely trip. It was meant for my husbands University, Manipal and with University Cincinnati. For more information about the Dhow Cruise CLICK ME and let me know what you think of it!

As for my experience, we all Met up in front of the mosque near the Lotus Hotel. There is a small walkway to go into the Marina Walk or Marina Promenade and see all the amazing Yachts and dhow cruise. Around the place is the hotels and apartments as well, You’ll see kids of families riding their bikes or roller blading.

From the Marina Walk or Promenade, we started walking towards the Dhow Cruise we rented. We had about 4 hours to stay on the Boat and enjoy the food and scenery. Don’t expect a super fast boat haha ? It was meant to be slow during the entire hours of the journey around the Marina.

Upon entering the Boat, You will be greeted by the staffs. They will be serving you complimentary drinks and some finger foods, We had Spring Rolls and Fried Chicken. Probably about an hour or two on the second floor of the boat enjoying our finger foods and the view around, The staffs asked us to go down on the lower floor of the boat to have our dinner buffet style.

The foods were very well represented, They served us mixed foods from Indian, Western and local dishes to enjoy. After few minutes of eating, A guy with very colourful outfit started to entertain us and Dance! It was called Tanoura Dance and a guy was doing it for us which was another great experience for me.

Tanoura means skirt in English and Tanoura dance is a kind of folkloric dance which is very common in Islamic countries Especially Egypt and Turkey. it is usually performed by Sufi men for the Sufi music, who spin continuously It’s also one of the highlights of Dubai desert safari trips.

WATCH THE VIDEO above to see the guy doing the dance! Sure you’ll love it as we all did! Some lucky students had a chance to try on the skirt and dance as well! Probably an experience they will never forget about Dubai, UAE If it was me, there is no way I could’ve done that, I am not really good in this kind of things, Spinning so fast is not for me at all haha I’ll definitely throw up and won’t be able to do anything else again haha

After the Enjoying the Dance, we all continued enjoying the Food and tried to dance to some music, Later after that, We all decided to go and leave the boat. Gosh, I just can’t believe how much food were left, and we paid for those! They could’ve given it to us for take-away haha Not a bad idea, but they no one probably though of it so yeah…

Guess that is all it for the journey of Dhow Cruise Dubai Marina! Hope you guys enjoyed it as I did! If you have any more questions, Please let me know in the COMMENT BOX below! I’ll try my best to answer them right away.
