CYCLING AT PULAU UBIN (SINGAPORE)

Hey guys!! I’ve been so busy this past few days so my apologies for being MIA. So I’m back! Today I’ll be blogging about my Adventure at Pulau Ubin. It’s part of Singapore as well but of course you needed to ride a ferry-boat to go there. Pulau Ubin is a small island situated in the north-east of Singapore, to the west of Pulau Tekong. Granite quarrying supported a few thousand settlers on Pulau Ubin in the 1960s, but only about a hundred villagers live there today. It is one of the last rural areas to be found in Singapore, with an abundance of natural flora and fauna.(Source/credits). I love how Pulao Ubin is more on nature things, as in there still monkeys and wild boars that you can see anywhere while you’re riding a bike and enjoying the great nature scenery.

My friends and I were talking about this cycling topic for a while until we started teasing each other everyday when were going to see and meet at the swimming pool area where the kids are playing. Until one day we just decided to get it on! Plan the trip and plan what other things do we need to bring.

We arrived in Pulau Ubin and I admit it that we’re too excited maybe and everything was too planned that villagers who lived there were still sleeping haha! Lucky that One store was opened already that time, so that where we rented our bike. 8sgd. for one bike. Ride all you can all day long! Isn’t that great! Compare the price at East Coast Park which we paid 10sgd or 13sgd. for only 4hours. Insanely expensive!! Oh! how I love to go back there with my lovely friends!

L-R Sarah, Ellen, Jocelyn, Violy, Me/Jane, and Ms.Nelia!

This are my gorgeous ever friends who’s with me everyday and will always be a part of my family here in Singapore. We are just like one happy family here! I am so lucky to have them here with me and they are indeed such a big help and great people to have and to talk to.

I guess this is the first group shot with our bikes!! haha! And yeah! we actually took the photo in the middle of the road because we’re so early like that, That no one is around that time but just us! haha!

IMG_1215

Spot the wild pig/boar!? I’m too scared that time that even my friends were teasing me haha! A lot of them, all around the place! The Uncle said the they can smell the foods we have haha! Obviously we had a lot of food that time! Thanks to the girls because of them we survived! We almost didn’t eat anything the whole day! But just some chips piaya, grapes some breads and water. We felt the sudden hungry when we finished riding our bikes.

Spot the letter “T” while we’re crossing the bridge. T for Tauyan.

Shots from the gorgeous bridge! Though we’re starving already, Still smiling and feeling happy that we’re surviving that time and we really had a lovely day! Hurray! for the matching shirts I bought from Vietnam! Geez! I love my girls! I will never forget to bring something for them whenever I go visit other countries with my family. They’re my second family here who even feed me and make me laugh at all times!

We took a sit on a big stone looking to a really great view from the beach and bridge! Cheers! We had some toasted bread that time courtesy of Ms.Nelia.!

The small house from the picture above where we tried to have a nap and sleep since we left the house like so early in the morning! We’re excited like that haha! Sorry for the haggardness look! It’s not very easy riding the Bike in that place since it’s more on hills and rough surfaces.

Gorgeous view from the almost mirror like Lake we saw upon riding our bikes at Pulau Ubin. Nothing beats the good exercise, good company, and good view even though we’re all so tired pedalling the whole day. We even got so wet because it rained so hard that time. Lucky Sarah brought some plastics and we wrapped all our important things inside just to keep it dry and away from the rain.

We were all looking forward to a lot of plans and happy bonding to come before My family leave Singapore. It’s sad that I will be leaving, but there’s no stopping the happiness! Because they can go and visit us in the coming years and maybe we’re all gonna be together working in one house! haha! They are the friends that surely I will keep in my heart forever! Just thinking all the happiness we had before makes my day and makes me smile already. You can never buy happiness! Never! Just be true to yourself and have a good heart, There will always be good people who will stay with you. Thanks everyone! God bless xoxo
