In Chiang Mai, The famous Chiang Mai Square where it is surrounded by beautiful Temples and sure that it won’t disappoint. Everything is just walking distance and of course, you won’t be alone as there are many tourists around walking and queuing with you like everywhere else you go in Thailand.

Some tips I wanna give to you to not be stuck in the queue is:
-Wear Modest outfit or bring a sarong to cover up the parts that need to be covered up so you won’t be stuck on the queue where everyone rents a sarong.
-Wear comfy shoes that you can take off and on very easily so it is not hard to remove it when going to a temple.
-Bring small bills or coins as you may need to pay some temples to enter.
-During monsoon season always bring raincoat and umbrella.
Don’t forget Mosquito or bugs spray too.

List of Places We Visited inside the Wall and Walking Distance to each other:

  • Wat Chedi Luang
  • Wat Phantao
  • Chiang Mai Pillar City Shrine
  • Thai Coin Museum
  • Phankam Museum
  • Wat Chai Phrakiat
  • Wat Pra Singh
  • Silver Temple which is outside the wall but you can walk there and it beautiful too!

You’ve been warned that there are many tourists everywhere but overall we enjoyed the walk around the city even it was raining here and there. We didn’t make it to visit the Night Bazaar or night market as our hotel was far away from the wall, so Maybe next time we can go back and stay within the wall and check out the nightlife.
