In this blog post I’m going to give you more information about Pasar Seni or Central Market Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Central Market or Pasar Seni is one of the famous places you must visit in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Central Market Kuala Lumpur or Pasar Seni is a center for Malaysian culture, art and craft located in the heart of the city. As a building with significant historical value, Central Market Kuala Lumpur has come a long way from its early beginning as a wet market built in 1888 to a delightful destination for tourists, shoppers and art lovers.

Today, Central Market Kuala Lumpur or Pasar Seni is a must-visit destination offering visitors a unique shopping opportunity where they can relish from local handicrafts, textiles, souvenirs, collectibles and local snacks. It is not just a retail experience but also a heritage experience offering a wonderful visual treat and appreciation of Malaysia heritage and architecture in a glance as they step into its doors.

I’ve been in Central Market or Pasar Seni sooo many times already. I cannot even remember the numbers anymore. Mostly I’ve been here because I’m touring my friends around Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I guess I’m a professional Tour Guide now haha! Let me know if you need any tour guide in the future, OR I can make an Itinerary just for you! I can also help you take photos and videos for your social media content if you need to if you’re traveling by yourself and want really good photos and videos! Or even take it for your family and friends’ memories. Let’s keep in touch SEND ME AN EMAIL and Hope to hear from you soon =D

HOW TO GET HERE: Central Market is located nearby Petaling street or Chinatown. So if you’re visiting that place you may want to consider walking to Central Market as well. Nearest Train Station is either Masjid Jamek or Pasar Seni, then you can just start walking to Central Market. Taking the train is a better choice mode of transportation as this area can be very busy and traffic. You can also book your Grab, Uber or Get a taxi if you want to if train is not suitable or available nearby.

WHAT TO DO: Central Market is where you can find all your souvenirs if you need to get some things to bring back to your home country for friends and family. Also you can find here all the amazing handmade arts and crafts! From bags, wooden statues, wooden displays, and local snacks are all here in one place. If you’re like me, I like buying gifts for my friends and family when traveling. Here at Central Market you can find some very interesting and unique things. There’s a booth where you can write your name on a grain of rice and put it in a small bottle as a necklace which is so unique! You can also find accessories made from Real Pearls and Real Jade as well. Of course, do not forget to get yourself or your family the best gift from Malaysia which is Batik! There’s scarves, pants, dresses, blouses ,scrunchies, bags that are all made of Batik! A must to get!

I would suggest to visit during weekdays so it is more quiet to walk around. Also if you are taking Grab, Taxi or Uber it would be best to come in the morning because there is no Traffic and less people and not busy at all. Walk around here and do some shopping then enjoy and EAT LOCAL FOOD for lunch on the second floor food court and you’re off to your next location! I would suggest walking to River of Life in Masjid Jamek! The lightings on the River or by the river is beautiful. The FOODCOURT on the second is accessible via ELEVATOR too! So if you’re with family and friends who are not or cannot use stairs, find and use the elevator instead =)
